Test of Sacrifice: The Stress

Posted in: Fluff,Life,Meta-gaming by Ariel on March 17, 2009

Here’s what it comes down to: I don’t want Indira to die. I love her! She’s my first D&D character!
The Test of Judgment was about choosing the right foe and defeating it. The Test of Resolve was about going towards a goal without getting bogged down. What is the Test of Sacrifice? Who knows but why wouldn’t it be about sacrificing something precious to achieve the goal? What is more precious than life?

It feels longer, but I think we’ve been moving towards the final test of the Burning Eye — the Test of Sacrifice — for the last four game sessions. Every Wednesday I spend the day wondering what they mean by “sacrifice.” I’m tired of wondering! I hope, for good or ill, that something definitive happens tonight.

In case she does die tonight, any words of wisdom on how to deal when your first character dies?

  2. I know! Glad I wasn’t so foolhardy as to go jumping into a column of fire!
