When I saw Mrs. Vanderborne in such a fine gown, I felt woefully underdressed. I had donned by nicest tabard, the one with the golden sun stitched on the front. It was shabby in comparison to our hosts.
The Vanderbornes had asked us to stop b so they could thank us for recovering Todd’s body. “It was really Acgar that deserves the thanks,” I told Mr. Vanderborne as he poured tea.
When I’m not gaming, I have other hobbies to fill my time. Quilting is a major hobby that competes with my gaming time. Currently, I am Past-Chair for my guild, Metropolitan Patchwork Society, and I have a small group of quilters I meet with once a month. Occasionally, I’ll need to choose between the two hobbies. My latest quilt project was a way to combine them together.
This quilt started in August of 2007. At a guild meeting, everyone was supposed to bring several strips of fabric 3.5″ wide. These strips are cut from the width of a bolt of fabric and usually range from 42″ to 60″. Then we played Strip Poker. Ante up your strip, whoever wins takes the pot.
