We headed to the Slippery Eel to meet up with Quinlan. Dyskko, the Mayor’s bard, came along with us. He seems nice and we’ve looked into his heart; he doesn’t seem to be a spy. We were talking about the auction and what we might buy and sell. Cinder and I both have new mithral armor and Krylscar (he wants to be taken seriously, so he’s asked us to use his last name instead of “Elvis”, his given name) was teasing me about it.

Myntilly & the Lord Mayor

When the mayor invited us to tea I was surprised at how excited Elvis got at the idea of seeing him again. I’d never heard Elvis say one nice thing about him and in fact, now that he’s got it in his head to run for mayor himself, I thought the last thing he’d want was a photo opportunity.

We have the wands. Or, rather, we got the wands and gave them to Jenya. I think we are in time. I thank Pelor that I could be a part of his victory. We’re spending the night (our first full night’s sleep in several days) at St. Cuthberts. In the morning we will see about Sadi.
